What's happening with your door?
Select the symptom that best describes the problem. We'll show you what it usually means and what to expect.
Before you keep operating the door
If your door has stopped moving entirely, do not force it with the opener. Forcing a door against a broken spring or jammed track can damage the opener motor, bend the door panels, or cause the door to fall. Stop operating the door, keep people and vehicles clear, and arrange an inspection.
Do not pull the emergency release on a damaged, unsupported, or partly open door.
Repair or replace?
Repair makes sense when the door sections are sound and compatible parts are available. Worn springs, cables, or rollers alone don't mean you need a new door. Replacement is worth comparing when there's significant panel damage, structural deterioration, or repeated faults.
We don't push replacement when repair is the right call, and we don't recommend patching a door that's genuinely at the end of its service life. We explain what we find and give you the information to decide.

Common questions
Frequently Asked Questions
My garage door won't open at all. Is it the spring or the opener?
Both can cause a door to stop moving, but the symptoms differ. If you hear the opener motor running but the door doesn't move, the problem is usually mechanical — a broken spring or snapped cable. If the opener makes no sound at all, check the power supply and wall button first. If the opener clicks but the door doesn't engage, the trolley carriage may have disconnected. We diagnose the actual cause during the visit.
Is it safe to use my garage door if it's making a loud grinding noise?
Stop using a door that makes new grinding or popping sounds, moves unevenly, or has visibly damaged hardware. Keep clear and arrange an inspection. Noise alone cannot establish that operation is safe. Do not pull the emergency release on a damaged or partly open door.
My door closes partway then reverses. What's causing that?
The most common causes are misaligned or dirty safety sensors, an obstruction in the door's path, or opener force settings that are too sensitive. Less commonly, a mechanical issue like a bent track or worn roller is creating resistance that triggers the reversal. We check all of these during the inspection.
How long does a typical garage door repair take?
Timing depends on the diagnosis, parts availability, and access. Ask for the expected work time after the technician inspects the door. Scheduling and completion time are confirmed for your specific job.
Do you repair all garage door brands and styles?
Tell us the door material, approximate size, and opener make and model when you call. We will confirm compatibility and whether your system is within our service scope before scheduling.
